first_imgConsecutive sets of six gave Vanagi first points through Maru Volu who was hard to stop charging metres out from the line.Brothers responded straight from the kick-off in similar fashion to equalise.The score was left at 4-4 going into halftime.Brothers hit the lead only minutes into the second half in what was a try created out of nothing.The ball was spread out wide and given to fullback Pepena  Kwapena  who saw a gap and stepped in to scoot away  and score.Vanagi were not to be outdone and responded with a try to equalise.Both teams could not add the extras leaving the score at 8-8 with only minutes left on the clock.The game looked certain to go into extra time but with one last play, passed out wide to Vele who crashed over the line to score.Brothers have now advanced to the next stage of the finals tomorrow while Vanagi have bowed out of the tournament.The other seven teams from the Pennant division  that have progressed through to tomorrow are Simla Waroi Brothers, Vaadavada Goilords, Ril Roadsiders, Wanigela Kavela, Rovanama  (2), Koita Cowboys, Southern Pride and Lebulebu Crusaders.last_img
